This strategic partnership, part of the Quad Clean Energy Program, will position Indonesia as a leader in the circular economy for renewable energy.
TANGERANG, Indonesia – October 29, 2025 – PT Daur Material Indonesia (Remind) , a leading material recycling solutions company , today announced its participation as the key Indonesian industry partner in the international research project “Si-ZERO” (Silicon Zero Emission Recycling, Refining and Production).
This ambitious project aims to develop a completely carbon-free and circular recycling process for solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. The Si-ZERO initiative is funded through a grant from the Quad Clean Energy Supply Chain Diversification (CESCD) Program 2025 Round 1 , with a total project value reaching $3.1 million.
Global Collaboration for a Sustainable Silicon Supply Chain
The Si-ZERO project, led by Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) , brings together top researchers and industry partners from four nations to tackle the challenge of end-of-life solar panel recycling.
Partners from Indonesia include Remind , the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) , and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Other international partners hail from India (IIT Hyderabad , Greenko ) and the United States (Sadoway Labs Foundation ).
As a key industry partner, Remind will play a vital role in the research supply chain. The company will provide samples of end-of-life PV panels and grant access to its advanced recycling facilities to support process experimentation and validation. Remind’sin-kind contribution, valued at over $60,000, underscores the company’s serious commitment to the success of zero-carbon solar panel recycling.
